A course exploring the fundamental basics of wine. Discussions of geography, climate,
geology, winemaking, food, and culture lay the foundation for understanding what makes
different wines unique and how they can best be appreciated. By tasting a series of
wines that are typical of their style and origin, we can learn the characteristics
of the most important grape varieties and make connections between the vineyard and
what goes into the glass.
