Group X Schedule Summer Sessions 2025

Fall Group X Class Descriptions

Be the best version of you by regularly taking instructor-led Group Exercise classes in our upstair studio spaces. Commonly referred to as "Group X," the variety of classes offered are guaranteed to help you de-stress and improve your overall health and well-being. The purchase of a $20 GroupX pass is required to attend classes for the semester. GroupX passses can be purchased or in-person at the front desk.

All fitness levels are welcomed and encouraged to attend GroupX classes. Instructors are trained to provide accommodations and exercise options. Please contact Megan Baker at meganbaker@wcu.edu for questions or requests for specific accommodations.

Achieve your fitness goals and access a healthier you with the help of a Personal Trainer! Our certified trainers are expected to:

  • Properly assess your health history and level of conditioning for appropriate programming
  • Provide encouragement, feedback, and accountability
  • Professionally communicate and schedule sessions via email and in-person
  • Create individualized training sessions based on your goals, fitness level, and limitations
  • Ensure a safe and effective workout
  • Help you set SMART goals to improve your overall fitness and wellness

A Fitness Assessment is the necessary first step to begin your personal workout program. A Fitness Assessment helps your trainer gauge your current fitness level and/or any physical limitations. The results of the Fitness Assessment allow your trainer to appropriately tailor workouts for your specific, individual needs.
A Fitness Assessment includes the following:

  • Client Intake Form and SMART Goal Setting
  • Various measurements to assess posture, flexibility, balance, and strength

*Before any package purchase, a client must enroll in a $10 Fitness Assessment. For any package purchase thereafter, a Fitness Reassessment is at the discretion of the client and trainer.
*All personal training sessions are 1 hour in length. 
*All packages expire at the end of the semester purchased.

Programming One Fitness Assessment, two Personal Training Sessions, and an individualized four-week Personal Exercise Program. One Fitness Reassessment, one Personal Training Session, and an individualized four-week Personal Excercise Program. A 30-minute Consulation, plus an individualized four-week Personal Exercise Program.

*Must purchase and complete Stage 1 first; no limit on continued Stage 2 or Stage 3 purchases throughout the academic year.

These packages are designed for clients who are looking for a trainer to tailor sessions specifically to their goals, while also keeping the client motivated and accountable.

These packages are designed for clients who want to train with a buddy or partner, who are both at relatively equal fitness levels. Sessions will be catered to superset-style workouts and partner-style training.
