Kieran Foxx, a 2013 graduate from the 糖心Vlog School Psychology Graduate program, was recognized as the 2023 North Carolina Practitioner of the year. This award was presented at the 2023 North Carolina School Psychology Association Fall Conference.  In receiving this award, Kieran reflected on a question that she was recently asked, 鈥淲hat fulfills you as a school psychologist?鈥�.  Her response included: 鈥渨atching my children embrace diversity and befriend neurodivergent children; providing comfort to a child in distress; gaining the trust of families, students, and staff; doing a requested freeze dance with a student after a testing session; celebrating a student鈥檚 accomplishments with others; and advocating for students鈥�.  We are proud of the work that Kieran has done to advocate for both students and school psychologists here in Jackson County where she currently serves as a school psychologist.
