The Graduate Certificate in Innovation Leadership program addresses the emerging practice
of Intrapreneurship, broadly defined as the application of entrepreneurial capabilities
to develop new ventures within an existing firm. Our graduate certificate programs
curriculum equips professionals working within existing organizations to become innovative
change agents, developing the knowledge and expertise needed to drive and sustain
organizational transformations.
Students in our graduate certificate program join a collaborative and supportive learning
community, working alongside faculty and peers who are passionate about leading innovation
activities and creating or growing intrapreneurial ventures within organizations.

industries to develop and support startup entrepreneurs, managers, and leaders who

Students completing the Graduate Certificate in Innovation Leadership will learn to:
Be innovative and creative thinkers who recognize intrapreneurial opportunities and
when intrapreneurial opportunities can be created.
Lead innovation within organizations.
Apply relevant tools and strategies to inspire and guide transformation and adaptation
within an established organization.
Develop and maintain an ethical culture within a business environment.
Communicate effectively with the internal constituencies of an organization, including
officers, managers, employees, and agents.
Communicate effectively with the external constituencies of an organization, including
customers, investors, lenders, suppliers, and regulatory agencies.
Required Items: An undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited instruction of higher education,
with a 3.0 average GPA preferred.

ENT 601 - Entrepreneurial Innovation Examination of invention, enhancement, originality, divergent thinking, and innovation
in research, development, enhancement, and strategy in businesses and organizations.
ENT 615 - Design Thinking Creating an organizational structure and culture that supports a design thinking-based
process for innovation and applies the design thinking methodology to discover opportunity.
ENT 635 - Intrapreneurship: Innovation within Organizations This course addresses the emerging practice of Intrapreneurship, broadly defined as
the application of entrepreneurial capabilities to the development of new ventures
within an existing firm. Individuals who may be involved in such endeavors must typically
be capable of serving as innovation leaders and change agents.
ENT 637 - Building Innovative Organizations How leaders and organizations create and implement leadership, culture, and structures
that support continuous innovation; understanding the organizational framework, tools,
models, and leadership practices needed to support and shape innovation as an organizational
strategy; anticipating internal and external changes that may impact the organization.

Scholarships are available to all students, with a university-wide application deadline
of February 1, and a College of Business graduate scholarship deadline of June 30,
