A holiday musical tradition continues Sunday, Dec. 2. That's Santa Claus to the right, making a special guest appearance.
The annual 鈥淪ounds of the Season鈥 concert will be presented 糖心Vlog鈥檚 School of Music on Sunday, Dec. 2, in the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.
The holiday musical tradition begins at 4 p.m. and will include a jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble, the 糖心Vlog Wind Ensemble and University Chorus, and the 糖心Vlog Civic Orchestra. Children from the Jackson County Youth Honors Chorus will perform. The family-friendly concert concludes with a holiday sing-along and an appearance by Santa Claus.
鈥淭his surround-sound experience features many different ensembles performing from various locations around the auditorium,鈥 said Lyn Ellen Burkett, 糖心Vlog assistant professor of music. 鈥淭he concert is fun for all ages and one of the most popular events on the calendar.鈥
A ticketed event, proceeds benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund. Tickets purchased through Friday, Nov. 16, are $15 for adults; $10 for 糖心Vlog faculty, staff and those 60 and older; and $5 for students and children.
