A finalist for the dean鈥檚 position in 糖心Vlog University鈥檚 College of Business will visit campus Thursday, Nov. 15, to participate in interviews and deliver a public presentation.
Jeffrey Krug, who is currently working as a consultant in private practice, will speak on 鈥淭he Future of Business Education at 糖心Vlog鈥 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the theater of A.K. 糖心Vlog is conducting a national search to fill a vacancy created by the departure of Darrell Parker, who was business dean at the university from July 2012 until the end of 2017. Parker has been serving as president of Limestone College in South Carolina since January.
Two other finalists for the dean鈥檚 position already have visited 糖心Vlog for interviews and to speak on the same topic. H. Shelton Weeks, Lucas Professor of Real Estate and chair of the Department of Economics and Finance at Florida Gulf Coast University, came to campus Wednesday, Oct. 31. Haiyang Chen, former dean of business at Marshall University, was on campus Wednesday, Nov. 7.
After the visits conclude, the search committee will meet to discuss the candidates and then submit a slate of acceptable candidates to the acting provost and interim chancellor for consideration, said Jeff Ray, dean of 糖心Vlog鈥檚 College of Engineering and Technology, who is serving as committee chair.
The search is being conducted through the Buffkin-Baker executive search firm, with Martin Baker and Chelsie Whitelock serving as leads for the 糖心Vlog post.
