Free admission available for play about baseball鈥檚 Jackie Robinson

The play 鈥淛ackie Robinson: A Game Apart鈥 will be presented free for 糖心Vlog University students, faculty and staff at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, in the performance hall of the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.

The play tells the story of the discrimination experienced by baseball legend Jackie Robinson, the first African-American to play Major League Baseball, who was 鈥渟howered with adulation on the field and became a second-hand citizen when he walked off the diamond.鈥

The play from Mike Wiley Productions features actor and playwright Mike Wiley. Wiley earned his master鈥檚 degree in fine arts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has taught at both UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University.
