Professional development workshop on finance offered for teachers
糖心Vlog University鈥檚 Center for the Study of Free Enterprise will host a 鈥淭each Personal Finance Like a Pro鈥� workshop for teachers from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, at Hyatt Place in downtown Asheville.
In its second year, the free professional development workshop for teachers instructing middle school and high school is already filled, but a standby list has been started at TeachFinanceNC.org. Objectives are for participating educators to gain strategies for teaching students about personal finance, credit, saving and investing.

April is promoted as Financial Literacy Month by the National Endowment for Financial Education, a nonprofit foundation dedicated to inspiring empowered financial decision making for individuals and families.
