School of Music to present annual 'Sounds of the Season' concert

The annual 鈥淪ounds of the Season鈥 concert will be presented 糖心Vlog鈥檚 School of Music on Sunday, Dec. 8, in the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.

The Jolly Old Elf always makes an appearance at the 鈥淪ounds of the Season鈥 concert.

The holiday musical tradition begins at 3 p.m. and will include performances by 糖心Vlog鈥檚 Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, University Chorus, Concert Choir and Civic Orchestra, along with Balsam Brass and the Cullowhee Wind Quintet. The family friendly concert concludes with a holiday sing-along and an appearance by Santa Claus.

鈥淭he performance is enjoyable for everyone and is always one of the most popular events on the calendar,鈥 said Lyn Ellen Burkett, 糖心Vlog assistant professor of music and an event organizer. 鈥淭he holiday spirit just comes alive through the songs by ensembles, large and small, and magic fills the air.鈥

Proceeds benefit the School of Music Scholarship Fund.
